Fred Wilson recently penned a post on his popular blog entitled "Reverse Engineering VC Investment Strategies". Fred articulated the need as follows "So an automated tool that crawls VC websites, pulls the links to each and every portfolio company, categorizes these investments by stage, sector, geography, and ideally a host of other things, would be incredibly useful."

While we've provided point-in-time views of investor strategies on our research blog (see our Sequoia Capital teardown, Google Ventures teardown or Union Square Ventures teardown as examples), each of those was taken directly from interactive visualizations on CB Insights from our Investor Analytics tool.
We've recorded this video of Union Square Ventures profile to highlight how you can understand an investor's strategy.
