Sharing Collections with your Colleagues

It’s simple to invite others to your Collection — both teammates who have a CB Insights account, and guests who do not. 

People you can share your collection with include:

  • Teammates on your subscription
  • Guests with CB Insights access on a different team
  • Guests without CB Insights access within or outside of your organization

First, select the share button. Then, choose which teammates or guests you’d like to invite, and the type of access granted (edit or view-only). The recipient will be notified via email. 

Setting “team access” ensures new teammates are automatically granted the same permission level to that Collection. 

Guests with edit access can:

  • Add companies, columns, and tags
  • View & edit market maps 
  • Filter and sort collection data columns

Teammates with edit access can do all the above as well as share the Collection and leave notes.

Guests without CB Insights Access

Users invited to a Collection without a CB Insights subscription are given partial access to other CB Insights features. This access includes:

  • The Collection they were invited to
  • Up to 50 company profiles
  • Up to 25 rows of any Expert Collections


What happens if I can’t access the Collection?

If for whatever reason you’re having trouble viewing or accessing CB Insights, please reach out to or contact your dedicated Customer Success Manager.
