One of the most valuable and unique features Collections, our work management tool offers is real-time auto-updating CB Insights data. Collections plug into our underlying database so you always have the most up to date data.
As you explore new industries with Collections, you never have to worry about your analysis becoming out of date or dread manually updating data in static spreadsheets.
For example, all of the data represented in the Collection below like Company name and logo, Tags, Total Funding, All Investors, Country, etc. update in real-time and auto-populate when you add another company.
Now that you have an understanding on how our data auto-updates, check out how to add companies to your Collections below:
From Top search, you can also add companies or investors to Stories. This gives you the ability to create customized Collections in seconds with always-fresh data.
We’ve simplified adding companies to Collections via our “Add To” button detailed below.
How/where To Use
From a company sheet within a Collection, click the checkbox to trigger the action bar.
Click Add To, and then select a destination Collection.
Click one of the available sheets or create a new one to add your selected companies to that sheet. If you select to create a new Collection or sheet, you will be prompted to title it.
Here’s an example of adding companies to a new Collection.
2) Top Search
Enter your search term and navigate to the Company or Investors tab.
Click the respective checkbox (or select all) to trigger the Add To menu. Then, select whether to Add To Collections or Stories.
